In 2007, approximately 30 Aspiring Artists students offered to participate in an art exhibit in Spring Lake, NJ to raise money for a summer art camp for Neptune, NJ youth.
The exhibit raised enough money for Aspiring Artists to offer a complimentary week long summer camp to 23 Neptune children living at the Neptune Housing Authority. All the materials and instruction for the camp were provided by the funds raised from the Aspiring Artists students who participated in the art exhibit. Connor, one of Miss Debra’s art students, was an assistant for the camp. Some of the Neptune children proudly show off the masterpieces that they made during the Aspiring Artists camp.
