Since 2001, Aspiring Artists® has offered painting classes throughout Monmouth County reaching over 50,000 students! Miss Debra’s Interpretive Impressionism® curriculum teaches students how to create renditions of French Impressionist masterpieces from Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Camille Pissarro, and Vincent van Gogh, in addition to, American Impressionists Mary Cassatt, George Inness and Childe Hassam. The curriculum includes Interpretive Fauvism™ through the works of Henri Matisse, Henri Cross, and Andre Derain, as well as, Interpretive Modernism™ and Designs by Debra™.
Aspiring Artists® was first introduced at the Jersey Shore by its founder Debra Stasiak, who is an entrepreneur, artist, Rutgers University graduate, certified teacher, and mother of two sons. Debra began teaching masterpiece paintings in 2000 while she developed her own pre-k curriculum at a school in Spring Lake Heights, NJ.
Using Miss Debra’s unique Interpretive Series™, students create their own renditions with a simple step-by-step approach. Miss Debra’s lessons are for ages 4 through senior.
