Students must be enrolled at Saint Jerome School in order to register for this program. Class size is limited to the first 17 students who register.
Aspiring Artists® will be offering a 7 week art series beginning on October 2nd, 2024 at St. Jerome! Using famous masterpieces as inspiration, students (grades 1-5) will create their own renditions of the paintings listed below using Aspiring Artists® step-by-step format. Students will learn the brushstrokes and layering techniques of Impressionism. In addition, we will be creating a Thanksgiving collage for the holiday!
Students will create their own renditions of the following paintings:
- Oct 02: van Gogh’s Three Sunflowers in a Vase
- Oct 09: Monet’s San Giorgio Maggiore at Sunset (shown above)
- Oct 16: Renoir’s Vase of Pink Roses
- Oct 30: Monet’s The Japanese Footbridge
- Nov 06: Van Gogh’s Olive Trees with Yellow Sky and Sun
- Nov 13: Monet’s Antibes
- Nov 20: Original Thanksgiving Collage (paper and glue)

Aspiring Artists® cannot offer refunds if a student is absent from class.
Acrylic paint and heavy cardstock paper are used for all lessons.
Dates: Wednesdays, Oct 2-Nov 20 (No class Oct 23rd)
Times: 2:30-4:15pm (directly after school)
Location: Saint Jerome School – West Long Branch
Pick Up: Students will be brought to the playground at 4:15pm for parent/caregiver pick up.
NOTE: Please have your child bring a smock to protect their uniform from acrylic paint stains. Please have your child bring a medium sized box to safely transport the wet artwork out of the school and into your car.
