- Class size is limited to the first 15 students who register.
- Aspiring Artists® cannot offer refunds if a student is absent from class.
Class Description:
- Reserve your seat in the new upcoming 7 week winter series of Aspiring Artists!
- This winter, you can choose between a Tuesday or Wednesday series. Both series are exactly the same, just offered on different days. Each series is limited to 15 students. Using all NEW paintings from American and French Impressionism as inspiration, students (grades 1-6) will create their own renditions of the NEW paintings listed below. In addition, we will create a Valentine’s Day project and original still life composition.
- Students will create their own renditions of the following:
- first week – Inness’ Sunrise (American Impressionism)
- second week – Monet’s Chrysanthemums
- third week – Original Still Life Composition
- fourth week – Inness’ Home at Montclair
- fifth week – Valentine’s Day project
- sixth week – Monet’s Seacoast at Saint-Adresse, Sunset
- seventh week – Inness’ Winter and Sky (American Impressionism)
Class location & pickup:
- Dates: Tuesdays, January 7th to February 18th or Wednesdays, January 8th to February 19th
- Time: 2:20pm to 4:00pm (directly after school)
- Location: St. Rose Grammar School – second floor art room
- Pick up: Instructor will bring students to the main lobby of St. Rose at 4:00pm. Please pick up your child at the front door of St. Rose at 4:00pm, unless your child is attending St. Rose aftercare.
Class preparation:
- Please bring a medium sized box, such as a pizza box, to transport the wet painting home.
- Acrylic paints stain clothes so please provide a smock that will fully protect the school uniform from paint stains. Fitted plastic smocks provide the best protection.
